“Ethical Hacking: Concepts and Practices”

The Department of Information Technology, JMF’s Vande Mataram College of Arts, Commerce & Science, organized a workshop on “Ethical Hacking: Concepts and Practices” on 8th August 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in Computer Lab C for Third-Year Computer Science and Information Technology students. The session was conducted by Mrs. Prachi Nitnaware, Trainer in Cyber Laws and Ethics. She introduced students to the fundamentals of ethical hacking, common cyber threats, vulnerabilities, basic hacking methodologies, and cybersecurity practices. The workshop also emphasized cyber laws, ethical responsibilities, authorized security testing, and responsible use of cybersecurity knowledge. The interactive session helped students gain practical awareness of protecting computer systems and digital information. Overall, the workshop successfully enhanced students’ understanding of ethical hacking and cybersecurity and highlighted the importance of securing digital systems responsibly.
