Fruits Distribution Activity at Anna Nagar Slum Area on the Occasion of Mahaparinirvan Din of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar by NSS Unit & Humanities Dept. of Vande Mataram Degree College, Dombivli (W)
On the solemn occasion of Mahaparinirvan Din of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the NSS Unit of Vande Mataram Degree College, Dombivli (W) organized a Fruits Distribution Activity at the Anna Nagar Slum Area on 6th December 2024. This initiative aimed to honor the legacy of Dr. Ambedkar by serving the underprivileged sections of society, reflecting his vision of equality, compassion, and upliftment of marginalized communities. Commemorate Mahaparinirvan Din by engaging in a meaningful social service activity. Provide nutritious fruits to the residents of the slum area, focusing on promoting health and well-being. Instill a sense of social responsibility and empathy among the NSS volunteers & Humanities Dept students.
The volunteers distributed fruits such as bananas, apples, and oranges to the families residing in the slum area. The fruits were carefully packed and handed over to the residents with warmth and compassion. A brief tribute was paid to Dr. Ambedkar by observing a moment of silence and sharing thoughts on his contribution to social justice and equality.
The residents of Anna Nagar expressed heartfelt gratitude for the initiative and appreciated the efforts of the NSS Unit. The Fruits Distribution Activity conducted on the occasion of Mahaparinirvan Din successfully upheld the values and ideals of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. The NSS Unit & Humanities Dept of Vande Mataram Degree College, Dombivli (W), once again demonstrated its commitment to social service and creating a positive impact in the lives of the underprivileged.
