The Department of Humanities at JMF's Vande Mataram Degree College of Arts, Commerce & Science—an ISO 9001:2015 certified institution accredited by NAAC (2nd Cycle) with a B++ Grade (CGPA: 2.91) and affiliated with the University of Mumbai—has been a cornerstone of academic excellence since its establishment in the Academic Year 2011–12.

The department provides a comprehensive academic pathway, offering a three-year Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with specializations in History, Economics, and English Literature, alongside an advanced two-year Master of Arts (M.A.) in History introduced in the Academic Year 2022–23.
