1. ABOUT THE CELL

The Research & Development Cell of JMF's Vande Mataram College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Dombivli, aims to promote a strong research culture among faculty members and students.

The Cell encourages scientific inquiry, innovation, interdisciplinary research, and the dissemination of knowledge through research publications, projects, seminars, workshops, and other academic activities.

The Cell strives to provide a supportive environment for research and development by encouraging faculty members and students to undertake research projects, participate in research conventions, collaborate with academic and industrial organizations, and contribute to societal and technological development.

2. OBJECTIVES

1. To promote a research-oriented environment among faculty members and students.
2. To encourage quality research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
3. To motivate faculty members to undertake funded and independent research projects.
4. To encourage students to participate in research activities, including Inter-Collegiate and Avishkar Research Convention.
5. To promote research publications, patents, and the dissemination of research findings.
6. To organize research-oriented seminars, conferences, workshops, and training programmes.
7. To encourage collaborations with industries, research institutions, and other academic organizations.
8. To create awareness about research ethics, academic integrity, and plagiarism prevention.

ACHIEVEMENTS AT ZONAL LEVEL

1. Student-developed product: "Green Paper Product: Sustainable Alternative and Green Way to Produce Paper and Cardboards."
2. Mr. Anuj Tiwari and group received the Aavishkar Certificate.
3. Student-developed product: "Bioplastics for Eco-Friendly Packaging: Sustainable Alternatives for a Greener Future."
4. Mr. Ravi Yadav and group received the Aavishkar Certificate.

ACHIEVEMENTS AT UNIVERSITY LEVEL

One undergraduate research project submitted by SYBSc student Mr. Anuj Tiwari and group won a Bronze Medal from the University of Mumbai and was selected for the State-Level Aavishkar Research Convention.

INTER-COLLEGIATE SCIENCE EXHIBITION

6. Ms. Neetaba and group received a Certificate from Sonawane College for their project entitled "Eco-friendly Mosquito Mist."
7. Mr. Ravi Yadav and Ms. Halima Shah won First Prize in the Intercollegiate Competition "Pravah" at B. K. Birla College.
8. Mr. Anuj Tiwari and Mr. Tanaji Kondhalkar won First Prize in the Intercollegiate Competition "Pravah" at B. K. Birla College.
9. Mr. Anuj Tiwari and group received a Certificate and Trophy.
